Clare Boothe Luce

amerikansk forfatter og diplomat; 1932–67 gift med H. R. Luce. Hun slo igjennom med skuespillet The Women (1937). Senere fulgte bl.a. skuespillene Kiss the Boys Goodbye (1939) og Margin for Error (1940), reportasjeboken Europe in the Spring (1940) og essaysamlingen Twilight of God (1949). Luce, som 1943–47 var republikansk medlem av Representantenes hus, var 1953–57 ambassadør i Italia.
