Charles Harold Dodd

britisk teolog, utdannet i Oxford. Prest i den kongregasjonalistiske kirke 1912–19, professor i Manchester 1930, i Cambridge 1935–49. Forfatter av en rekke bøker om nytestamentlige emner, bl.a. The Bible and the Greeks (1935), Parables of the Kingdom (1935), The Apostolic Preaching (1936), History and the Gospel (1937), The Interpretation of the Fourth Gospel (1953), According to the Scriptures (1953), Historical Tradition in the Fourth Gospel (1963). Han skrev også flere populærteologiske verker, bl.a. The Founder of Christianity (1970). Dodd var formann for den gruppen som utarbeidet The New English Bible (1970). Æresdoktor ved Universitetet i Oslo 1946.
