Arthur Michael Ramsey

britisk (anglikansk) geistlig. Professor ved University of Durham 1940–50, i Cambridge 1950–52, biskop av Durham 1952–56, erkebiskop av York 1956–61, av Canterbury 1961–74. 1961–68 en av presidentene i Kirkenes Verdensråd. Ramsey kombinerte høykirkelig teologi med evangelisk siktepunkt og var sterkt økumenisk innstilt. Skrev bl.a. The Gospel and the Catholic Church (1936), The Resurrection of Christ (1944), Introducing the Christian Faith (1962), God, Christ and the World (1969), norsk overs. Gud, Kristus og verden (1972).
